umount
umount: unmount filesystems.
Synopsis
umount dir…
Description
umount takes away the filesystem mounted at each dir named. A failure is reported on standard error as umount: dir: reason and the rest are still tried.
Exit status
0 if every one was unmounted (or none was named), 1 if any could not be.
Notes
Only a mount point is taken, not a device, and there are no options. The kernel mounts and unmounts the bus’s disks by itself as they come and go.
