uptime
uptime: tell how long the computer has been running.
Synopsis
uptime [-p]
Description
uptime prints how long the computer has been running since it booted, as procps’s uptime does:
up 5 min
up 1:05
up 2 days, 1:05
Options
- -p, –pretty
- Says it in words: up 1 hour, 5 minutes.
Exit status
0; 1, with a usage message, for any other argument.
Notes
mcos has no real-time clock, so there is no time of day; and no load average or user count either. The uptime is the machine’s own clock, which stands still while its chunk is unloaded.
